本刊举办的以讴歌人民教师、弘扬奉献精神为主题的“红烛奖”报告文学征文活动,得到了社会各界的热情支持。评奖工作结束后,《人民日报》《光明日报》《文汇报》《文艺报》《北京日报》《中国教育报》和《新闻出版报》等发表了消息。《人民日报》(1990年11月2日)转载了获奖作品《是一枚小小的砝码?》 (邵天殊作),《光明日报》 (1990年11月21日)和《文艺报》(1990年11月17日)转载了获奖作品《楷模》(李伶作),《中国文化报》于1990年11月份先后转载了《我们自家的老师》(石楠作)、《为赢得21世纪:开拍!》(涂怀珵作)、《小主人奏鸣曲》 (周桐淦作)和《是一枚小小的砝码?》四篇获奖作品,并加了《编后记》。《文艺报》还约请中国作家协会书记处书记、作家张锲同志撰写了评论文章《红烛啊,流吧!——读“红烛奖”获奖作品<楷模>》。本刊特转载张锲同志的这篇文章,以飨读者。
