A high speed magneto optical disk drive automatic optical mass storage system (MSS) has been developed. Its features are: the use of 130mmISO standard magneto-optical disk, a high write data transfer rate and efficient storage disk box. As a key device ─ ─ a high-speed magneto-optical disk drive has been developed. This drive provides high-speed data write capacity, which is about 10 times larger than the usual use of magneto-optical disk drives. The optical MSS write and read data transfer rate of 2.1MB / s, storage capacity of 250GB ~ 1TB, the average disk cartridge processing time of 5s. Based on performance simulations, optical MSS has proven to be useful for storing low-traffic, random-access files and high-speed DASD backup files for multimedia data.
