美国著名小说家杰克·伦敦(Jack London)出生于19世纪末,在其从事文学创作的十余年间,出版发行了《热爱生命》《约翰·巴利科恩》《荒野的呼唤》等近二百篇长短篇小说及文论。其中,杰克的动物小说以颠覆性的主人公形象塑造和硬朗的文风在美国动物小说史上独树一帜,成为后世争相研究的重点之一。本文将在细读杰克·伦敦动物小说的基础上,结合其创作的时代背景,解读杰克小说中的动物形象及其现实批判性。
Jack London, a famous American novelist, was born in the late 19th century.
