2003年11月23-30日,第六届国际残疾人技能竞赛在印度首都新德里举行,来自30多个国家和地区的近1500名选手参加了这次竞技盛会。中国派出了以中残联副理长王成金为团长的代表团,28名选手参加了本次竞赛,4名裁判参与执法。国际残疾人技能竞赛起源于日本,20世纪70年代末,联合国和国际康复会倡议并确定从1981年起每4年举办一次,1985年,中国首次派出代表团参赛,并取得了优异成绩。本届比赛设有职业技能竞赛、休闲与生活技能竞
From November 23 to November 30, 2003, the Sixth International Handicapped Skills Competition was held in New Delhi, the capital of India. Nearly 1,500 athletes from over 30 countries participated in this competitive event. China dispatched a delegation headed by Wang Chengjin, deputy director of CPPCC. 28 contestants took part in the contest and four referees took part in the law enforcement. The International Skill Contest for Handicapped originated in Japan. In the late 1970s, the United Nations and the International Rehabilitation Society initiated and decided to hold a competition every four years from 1981 onwards. In 1985, China sent its first delegation to the competition and achieved excellent results. This competition has a vocational skills competition, leisure and life skills competition
