The authors made a pathological study of 544 autopsies, including the entire nervous system, and found 44 cases of nervous system with “hypoxic” damage. Among them, 16 cases were spinal cord hypoxic injury. Eleven adults, two infants and three neonates. The youngest few hours, maximum 86 years old. The study did not show gender differences. 12 cases confirmed as one or more heartbeat, respiratory arrest or ventricular fibrillation. The other 4 cases were severe hypoxia caused by lung disease.
