苍山大蒜是山东省名产蔬菜之一。近年来,由于不注意大蒜种的选留,种性有些退化,即蒜头变小,蒜头及蒜薹品质下降,产量降低,影响了苍山大蒜在国内外的信誉。为此,苍山县种子公司在苍山大蒜种的选留和提纯复壮技术方面进行了多年的探索,研究出一套较完善的大蒜良种繁育技术,即采用气生鳞茎繁殖、株系法繁殖、异地繁殖和引种脱毒大蒜。每年生产经提纯复壮的苍山大蒜良种达200×10~4kg,供应到新疆等外地蒜区种植,受到省内外蒜农的好评。
