First, not a “mystery”, but a law-based China is an ancient civilized country. From AD 170 (Eastern Han Dynasty) to 1820 (mid-Qing Dynasty), China’s productivity has been one fourth to one third of world GDP. Our country’s science and technology are leading in the world for more than 14 centuries. It was only in the past 200 years that for one reason the aggression, exploitation and control of imperialism, feudalism and bureaucratic capitalism were once reduced to being semi-feudal and semi-colonial in nature. Under the leadership of the Chinese Communist Party, the Chinese people have finally stood up again after long-term struggle. In the short span of 50 years after the founding of the People’s Republic, the social and economic conditions have undergone tremendous earth-shaking changes.
