近年来,株洲冶炼厂按照市场经济体制下企业转机建制和建立现代企业制度的总要求,在实施企业国际化经营和科技兴厂战略过程中,倡导创新管理和严细实恒的工作方针,抓实大三角效益结构,有力地促进了企业国际化经营的深化发展。1990年至1994年,企业年出口创汇额由580万美元增加到10162万美元,增长16.5倍,年均递增105％;主产品铅、锌的出口量占全国出口量的比重分别由1990年的4.7％和2.4％,增加到1994年的40％和30％,成为全国名副其实的铅锌出口基地。
