近十多年来,不断深入发展的经济、政治改革,对中国社会的各方面都产生了深刻的影响。在新的社会背景下,中国历史学不得不重新反省自己,调整自己,以确定自己的相应地位。历史学,无论在东方还是在西方,已经存在了两千余年。它不但没有在历次社会变革中衰落下去,反而日益完备。其生命力何在?它是如何实现自己的生命力的?解决了这个问题,也就找到了史学改革的方向,找到了中国历史学应踞的地位;反之,这个问题不解决,只在开拓新的研究领域,扩大史料收集范围,引进现代研究方法等方面下功夫,中国的史学还是不能应付新时代的挑战。
In the past decade or so, the continuously deepening economic and political reforms have had a profound impact on all aspects of Chinese society. Under the new social background, Chinese historiography has to reconsider itself and adjust itself to determine its own position. History, both in the East and in the West, has existed for more than two thousand years. It has not only failed to decline in all previous social changes, but has become increasingly complete. How is its vitality? How does it achieve its own vitality? Solved this problem, which also found the direction of the historical reform, to find the position of Chinese historiography; the other hand, this problem is not solved, only to open up new research Fields, expanding the collection of historical materials, and introducing modern research methods, China’s history can not meet the challenges of the new era.
