To understand the impact of neonatal hypoxic-ischemic encephalopathy (HIE) on the long-term physical development and intelligence of children. Methods 60 cases of children with HIE confirmed by brain B ultrasound and clinical manifestations were followed up for a long time The development of children’s height, weight, nutrition, body size and so on were evaluated by Kaup index and children’s health care computer. The Gessel intelligent developmental scale was used to measure the intelligence development. Results There was no significant difference between the HIE children and the normal control group P> 0.05), no one with mental retardation. Conclusion The reasons for the significant decrease in children with mental retardation in this group, except for the establishment of spontaneous breathing ≤ 20 minutes, the main emphasis is to protect the heart, brain and kidney within 72 hours after resuscitation to prevent Occurrence and development of early hypoxic-ischemic brain damage.
