在筛选农用抗生素产生菌的工作中,于1978年从广西梧州地区土样中分离得到一株菌,编号为11371。该菌株产生对真菌有较强抑制作用的抗生素。应用该菌株的发酵液防治苹果树腐烂病的田间试验结果表明,其防治效果可达90%左右,并已通过了防治效果的鉴定。该菌经鉴定为不吸水链霉菌的一个新亚种,定名为不吸水链霉菌梧州亚种(Streptomyces ahgroscopicus subsp. wuzhoensis n. subsp.
