今年六月本会及中央水利部派来的同志共同组织检查组,根据中央一九五三年防汛工作指示,主要检查了险工、护岸、埽坝及堤防工程的质量标准,能否抵御可能发生的洪水;调查河道的重大变化,推断在某种水情下,可能对上下河道起多大的影响;同时了解石头庄溢洪堰及东平湖放水口的情况。自京汉铁桥起至利津小街子,在南北两岸进行了检查,往返行程三千余里,经过二十五个县段,历时二十四日。检查的情况可分以下几项:
