谭建丞(1898~1995年)号澄园。13岁受业于同乡前辈吴昌硕,并在吴昌硕的基础上另辟新境,亦以“四绝”名重吴越,被李苦禅誉为“江南第一擘”。湖州博物馆珍藏谭建丞84岁至85岁之间创作完成的十多帧家乡湖州风物的书画小品,均绘于边长30~40厘米的小幅宣纸上。画里山水澄和,风物闲美,盈尺之间作画、吟诗,颇具卓识,是谭老对家乡情感的倾注,是画家个人情感的珍藏。
