合肥市五一小学始建于1962年,原属郊区杏花镇,2003年8月由高桥、桃花、五一等三所小学合并迁入现址(淮北路与清源路交叉口),以“五一”为校名。学校占地面积27亩,2012年完成改扩建工程,新增教学用房4076平方米,功能教室和硬件设备达到省颁标准。学校现有16个教学班,学生934人,教师44人,其中合肥市骨干教师5人、市级优秀教师1人、省级优秀教师1人。
Hefei May Day Primary School was founded in 1962 and was originally a suburban apricot town. In August 2003, it was moved to the present site (the intersection of Huaibei Road and Qingyuan Road) by the merger of three primary schools, namely Takahashi, Peach Blossom and May Day.
