民进中央名誉副主席、著名作家柯灵同志不幸于2000年6月19日晚8时20分在上海逝世,享年91岁。柯灵同志是中国民主促进会的创始人之一,是深受民进广大会员爱戴、德高望重的领导人,对民进事业,对爱国统一战线,对我国文化艺术工作作出了卓越的贡献。柯灵同志的逝世是民进的重大损失。他一生为争取人民民主、国家富强而不懈奋斗的业绩以及谦和坦荡的风范,将永远是全体民进会员不断进取的巨大动力。本刊特刊发温崇实、邓伟志两同志的文章以志纪念。
Unfortunately, Comrade Ke Ling, honorary chairman of the Central Committee of the Chinese Progressive Progress and the famous author of the Democratic Progressive Party, passed away in Shanghai at 8:20 pm on June 19, 2000, at the age of 91. As one of the founders of China Association for the Advancement of Democracy, Comrade Koling is a leader who is deeply loved and respected by the vast majority of members of the people and made outstanding contributions to the cause of the people’s progress, to the patriotic united front and to the work of our country’s culture and the arts. The death of Comrade Colin is a major loss for the people of the DPP. For his entire life, winning the people’s democracy, making the nation prosperous and untiring, as well as his modesty and magnanimity, will always be a tremendous impetus to the continuous progress of all the people in the country.
