通过对云南省牟定-元谋地区航磁异常开展的1∶2.5万地面磁测查证工作,基本查清了异常源,划分确定了两大类找铁磁异常:一类为与龙川群路古模组、海资哨组含铁石英绢云千枚岩、绿泥石英片岩有关的磁异常,其代表为大弯山磁异常,是寻找层控型低品位磁铁矿的重要地段;另一类为与基性-超基性侵入岩体有关的磁异常,其代表为安益磁异常,产有大型贫铂钯磁铁矿体。全区定性推断圈定出与铁有关的铁矿(化)带2个、含铁绿片岩带2个、贫铂钯磁铁基性-超基性岩体2个,分析了其找矿意义,为该区寻找低品位铁矿提供了方向。
