Endoscopic hemostasis of heat probes is a new approach developed recently. In 1978, Western Illinois University’s Protell, Auth, etc. first applied the thermal probe endoscopically to the canine model of canine hemostasis, and achieved satisfactory results. In the recent 5 years, clinical reports have been gradually increasing, most of them think that thermal probes are superior to other hemostatic devices in terms of curative effect and safety. Thermal Probe Construction Features The prototype thermal probe is a simple, hollow aluminum cylinder (see photo).
