我国木偶戏自汉代发轫,唐代形成之后,结合各个朝代的戏曲及其他艺术而发展。岭南木偶戏是在元朝时从浙、闽传入。清末民初,木偶戏已活跃于广州街头,当时主要演出地点是城隍庙(今中山四路忠佑大街内)、荔湾西关黄沙一带,以及乡村神诞庙会演出。广州成为岭南木偶戏的弘扬之地。1956年,广州创办了广东省木偶剧团,集结了一批来自粤西的木偶表演和木偶雕刻艺人,以及一批新文艺工作者。在他们的通力合
After the Han Dynasty, the puppet show in our country developed after the Tang dynasty, combined with the opera and other arts of each dynasty. Lingnan puppet show is imported from Zhejiang and Fujian in the Yuan Dynasty. At the end of the Qing Dynasty and the beginning of the Republic of China, puppet shows were already active in the streets of Guangzhou. At that time, the main venues were the Chenghuang Temple (currently Zhongyushan Road Zhongyou Avenue), the Liwan West of Huangsha area, and the village goddess temple performances. Guangzhou became the cradle of the Lingnan puppet show. In 1956, Guangzhou founded the puppet theater company in Guangdong Province, bringing together a group of puppetry and puppet sculptors from western Guangdong and a group of new literary and art workers.
