为了更好地团结和组织本省高等学校学报编辑人员,坚持四项基本原则,努力办好学报,促进学术繁荣和教育事业的发展,在广东省委宣传部、省高教局的关怀和领导下,广东省高等学校学报研究会于1985年9月25日在广州华南师范大学举行了成立大会.参加大会的共一百余人,除我省各高校的学报编辑人员外,广州地区大多数高校都有一位校领导参加.副省长王屏山、省人大常委会副主任黄友谋、省委宣传部副部长杜联坚、广州市人民政府副秘书长吴紫彦、省高教局副局长周鹤鸣以及我省教育界老前辈李又华同志等亲临指导,并对学报工作作了指示.王屏山副省长在讲话中指出,学报的主要作用在于发现人才、培养人才、交流学术.办好学报的因素很多,但其中的关键因素是学校的学术水平如何.高等学校学报是反映本校教学科研成果的综合性学术理论刊物,如果学校的学术水平不高,就写不出高水平的学术论文,学报就会变成无米之炊或少米之炊.因此,各院校的领导必须抓好学校的科研工作,办好学报,同时要解决编辑
