As you may agree， following the laws of children-centered is the soul of children’s education. Nevertheless， at present， there exist some phenomena that are against the laws of children’s physical and mental development. A large number of kindergarten teachers teach children the courses in the form of primary school， which gives children too much pressure and make the children lose interest when entering primary school. Childhood should have been the happiest period of time for children， yet， children at present time suffered a lot of pressure from parents and teachers.
According to survey， since 2007 there appear to be a tendency of educating kindergarten children in the form of primary school in our country. Personally speaking， the reasons resulting in this phenomenon are as follows：
First and foremost， parents have great ambitions for their children， especially Chinese parents . They hope their children will have a bright future so they exert too much pressure directly or invisibly. Parents do not care whether a kindergarten is beautiful， whether the teacher there dance well or sing professionally， whether there are enough toys and advanced facilities， whether children in the kindergarten could spend a happy time. Instead， the only thing they care about is whether the teacher in the kindergarten teaches the children alphabet， arithmetic and some other courses in the form of primary school. At first， children may have enthusiasm. However， after they entered the primary school， when they found some subjects they have learned before， they would soon lose interest.
Secondly， many parents are apt to go with the social stream. Even though at the very beginning， they do not want to exert pressure on their children， but when they notice other parents’ behavior， they may feel panicky. We know that no parent wants their children to fall behind， therefore， they would not care about children’s own willingness or interests. They just give them what they think are beneficial and promising. This is why parents are always saying： Do not let our children lose at the starting line.
Last but not least， where there is stimulus， there is market. Kindergartens as well as those education institutions are very sensitive to parents’ needs as well as social needs. All they focus on is money-oriented and profit-oriented. Therefore， they not only publicize the importance of educating kindergarten children in the form of primary school but also make every effort to encourage parents to do so. We can see all kinds of pamphlets about preschools courses scattering around the streets. The kindergarten and some educational institutions ignored that both children’s physical and mental health. In this aspect， parents and kindergarten “support” each other. Taking all the above reasons into consideration， to urge the tendency lies in not only one aspect. The department of education in our country should make some laws prohibiting kindergartens’ courses. Parents should change their concept and kindergarten should launch work based on children-centered. Besides， those profit-oriented institutions should also stop making wrong guidance. The tendency of educating kindergarten children in the form of primary school will exert harm on children’s physical development because sitting for long time is bad for children’s spine and bones， which are under the state of developing. Long time study will lead to brain fatigue， eyestrain and neurosis. Apart from physical harm， it is harmful to children’s mental health. Too much academic pressure as well as too much systematic courses will possibly kill their imagination and creation. As soon as the state lasts long， children will become weary of study.
A large number of parents do not understand what real pre-education is. They do not have the realization that both children’s intelligence and energy can not support them learn complex courses. Although they have an good intention， negative results produced.
No matter you are parents， a kindergarten teacher， or a worked in an educational institution， in order to give our children a happy， colorful， careless and healthy childhood， please do not exert burden on their young shoulders， let them grow up in a relaxing and open atmosphere. From the perspective of sustainability， form a good study habit， cultivate a healthy and positive personality， teach them how to be good person is far more important than high grades. To cultivate good habits is the foundation of growing up. All in all， the tendency of teaching kindergarten children in the form of primary school brings nothing but harm to the mental and physical development of children. We should make great effort to restrain such phenomenon and give back children a happy childhood.
