包钢选矿烧结厂选别白云颚博铁矿获得含铁62%的铁精矿,并将其制成高炉用烧结矿和平炉用烧结矿,是为钢铁冶炼的基本原料。 白云颚博矿区的主要矿石成分是假像赤铁矿,赤铁矿及磁铁矿,其他代麦性的贵重成分要算是萤石及稀土金属氧化物,硫化矿物很少,非金属矿物是碳酸盐、闪石、辉石、黑云母、重晶石及石英。 所有矿石就矿化性质而言属于浸染性矿石,就各矿物析出的粒度来看,则属于细浸染和微细浸染矿石。
