Entrusted by the State Education Commission, the author attended the 1988 IEEE PESC Conference in Japan and read the paper. The attendance at the meeting and the visit are summarized as follows. A Brief Introduction to PESC The IEEE Power Electronics Specialists Conference (PESC) has been held annually since 1970. A few years ago, IEEE subordinate ten institutes jointly proposed the IEEE to set up a power electronic committee (PECouncil) This shows that power electronics is the intersection of several disciplines such as systems, circuits, devices and applications, causing widespread in various technical fields
