一提起戏曲体裁,人们首先想到的是悲剧、喜剧,文戏、武戏,大戏、小戏,折子戏、连台戏,这些从不同角度分类的丰富多彩的体裁。但是,人们通常说的戏曲体裁,一般指的是悲剧、喜剧等按戏曲内容划分出的不相同的体裁。 什么是悲剧?什么是喜剧?历来的艺术家、理论家论述颇多。我觉得鲁迅先生的两句话概括得精辟,他在《再论雷峰塔的倒掉》里说:“悲剧将人生的有价值的东西毁灭给人看,喜剧将那无价值的撕破给人看。”
