北京市文物研究所山戎文化考古队于1985年9月至1988年底在军都山南麓的大柏老乡古城村葫芦沟、西梁垙和靳家堡乡玉皇庙3处山戎部落墓地进行了七期有计划的发掘。出土的青铜器,均以发达的直刃匕首式青铜短剑和青铜削刀为典型代表,出土直刃匕首式青铜短剑近百件,青铜削刀130余件,既数量可观,且型式多样。在玉皇庙和葫芦沟墓地的晚期墓葬中还出土了少量尖首刀币。达3处墓地
