由西南交通大学与成都铁路分局联合研制的新型变电站电气试验车于1992年9月通过了由成都铁路局主持的技术鉴定。这种试验车主要用于电气化铁路高压电器设备(简称一次设备)、继电保护装置(简称二次设备)的预防性试验。它融各种电源及调节、控制、测试、判断、记忆、显示、打印等功能为一体,是一种小型化、集中式、多功能的微机测试装置。整个系统固定安装在一辆经过改装的中型客车上。该试验车具有以下主要特点:由于二次设备测试系统硬件少,可移动,所以可同时进行一、二次设备的预防性试验,二者互不干扰,所有的高压试验均在车上进行;继电保护测试用
