低酚棉俗称无毒棉,学术上称无色素腺棉(即植株各器官无色素腺)。低酚棉含棉酚等有毒物质很低,通常不超过0.02~0.04%,符合食用卫生标准。由于棉仁营养价值高,棉酚含量低,因此它的选育成功使得棉花由单一的纤维作物,成为棉、油、饲多用作物。从育种角度上看,低酚棉不但要注重对棉花产量、纤维品质的选择,而且应当考虑到棉仁营养品质的改良。低酚棉产量与其构成因素有着密切相关,而且这些因素与纤维品性和棉仁营养品质等性状间也存在相关性。无色素腺突变俸与常规棉比较,在产量、纤维品质和棉仁营养品质上有何特点,报道较少,因此加强这方面的研究,无疑对低酚棉育种和栽培有着重要意义。
Low-phenol cotton commonly known as non-toxic cotton, academic said non-pigmented glandular cotton (ie, plant organs without pigment gland). Low-phenol cotton containing gossypol and other toxic substances is very low, usually not more than 0.02 to 0.04%, in line with food hygiene standards. Due to its high nutritional value and low gossypol content, cottonseed has been successfully transformed from a single fiber crop into cotton, oil and feed crops. From the breeding point of view, low phenol cotton should not only pay attention to the choice of cotton yield, fiber quality, but also should take into account the improvement of nutritional quality of cottonseed. The yield of low-phenolic cotton is closely related to its components, and these factors are also related to the fiber properties and nutritional quality of cottonseed. Compared with conventional cotton, pigmentation-free glandular parenchyma has the characteristics of yield, fiber quality and nutritional quality of cotton kernel, and few reports, so to strengthen this research is undoubtedly of great significance for breeding and cultivation of low-phenolic cotton.
