洮坪林区位于西秦岭山系西段的嘉陵江上游,是甘肃省天水市小陇山林业实验局所属的一个林场,行政归属礼县,该林区的红桦林分,集中分布在海拔2200—2700米的阴坡。六十年代初,中国林科院林研所、省林科所和小陇山林业总场,在这里成功地进行了林粮间作,人工促进天然更新的试验研究,已有研究报告发表。洮坪林场在廿多年来又进行了推广应用,已大面积成林。本次调查,旨在对其有关因子,进行补充调查分析,并对经营措施进行探讨。
