历史上,烟草曾被列为禁品。所以,禁烟在中外,也是个有趣的话题。 1585年,英国展开了大规模的禁烟活动。对吸烟的人加重刑罚,进口税增加400倍,企图阻止烟草传播。1595年,药物学家发表3篇论文,提出烟草对人体健康的危害,引起英国国王詹姆斯一世的重视。不久,全副武装的卫士把一群群反剪捆绑的吸烟犯押赴刑场。
Historically, tobacco was classified as a forbidden product. Therefore, no smoking at home and abroad, but also an interesting topic. In 1585, Britain launched a large-scale ban on smoking. Increasing penalties for smokers and a 400-fold increase in import duties in an attempt to stop the spread of tobacco.
