罗化成同志是闽西革命根据地长汀县地方党组织的创始人之一,曾任红军后方医院院长、新四军二支队军需长,在苏南抗日前线升任新四军二支队政治部副主任。1940年2月27日,他带病在大雪中督战,导致心脏病复发,殉职于江苏溧阳县竹箦桥。新四军江南指挥部司令员陈毅在追悼会上致词称赞他:“是最实际的救国人才,是抗战建国中值得全国人民效法的人物,是久经考验的老党员……”人非草本,孰能无情,铁骨铮铮的罗化成,也有着动人的爱情生活……”
Comrade Luo Huacheng is one of the founders of the local party organization in Changting County, a revolutionary base in the western Fujian.
