云南省普洱市地处祖国西南边陲,东南与越南、老挝接壤,西南与缅甸毗邻,有着“一市连三国,一江通五邻”的区位优势。普洱市辖1区9县,国土面积4.5万平方公里,居住着汉、哈尼、彝、拉祜、佤、傣等26种民族,总人口256万。全市有森林面积4693万亩,森林覆盖率达67%,活立木蓄积量为2.5亿立方米,是云南省重点林区和“动植物王国”缩影,是全国乃至全球,回归带上的绿海明珠。 Pu’er City, Yunnan Province is located in the southwest border of the motherland, southeast and Vietnam, Laos border, southwest and Myanmar adjacent, with “one city with three countries, one river through five neighbors ” geographical advantages. Pu’er Municipality covers 1 area and 9 counties with a land area of 45,000 square kilometers and houses 26 ethnic groups including Han, Hani, Yi, Lao, Wa and Dai with a total population of 2.56 million. The city has a forest area of 46.93 million mu and a forest coverage rate of 67%. Live stumpage volume is 250 million cubic meters. It is a microcosm of key forest areas and “kingdom of animals and plants” in Yunnan Province. It is a national and even global transition zone Green Sea Pearl.
