核工业北京地质研究院创建于1959年6月,原名北京第三研究所,隶属于原核工业部,现隶属于中国核工业总公司。现任院长赵凤民。该院是一所多学科的综合性的地质研究中心。地址是北京安定门外小关东里十号(邮政编码为100029),现有职工700人,其中研究员级高级工程师30人,高级工程师180人,工程师190人。有区域地质、矿床、矿物、地球化学、同位素地质、航测遥感地质、环境地质评价、物化探、分析测试、科技信息、电子仪器专业,并设置相应的10个研究室,2个科研辅助车间,另外,有11个行政职能处。
