催人苍老的并不是岁月,一个人只要时时具有天赋我辈的伟大激情,他就能永葆青春。——马克斯·韦伯引言马克思在“1848年至1850年的法兰西内战”一文中对历史人物的产生有一个经典的表述,“如爱尔维修所说的,每一个社会时代都需要自己的伟大人物,如果没有这样的人物,它就要创造出这样的人物来”。~([1])这一论断生动地阐明了杰出人物的产生的历史必然性与偶然性,但却没有说明为何有的历史人物能够跨越时代变迁,其影响力历久弥新的问题。显然,较之历史人物的产生,对他们影响力的研究更有助于我们全面认识这些杰出人物的历史意义和时代价值。
