明代太监势大,他们中的许多人不仅多方干预政治、把持朝政,而且通过种种手段和渠道谋取、积累了巨额财富。有清一代,清帝吸取明亡教训,严格约束太监,太监为祸甚微。清代太监不仅政治地位低下,而且其经济收益亦较为有限。对于清宫太监的收入问题,学界已有研究。这主要是唐益年先生在其专著《清宫太监》有所涉及,但主要对其来源有所研究,对太监收入的去向以及所产生的影响未作深入探讨。拙文结合中国第一历史档案馆所藏档案及清宫所藏相关文书对此问题进行考察,不足之处,尚祈方家指正。
The eunuchs of the Ming dynasty were in great shape, and many of them not only interfered with politics in many ways but also maintained political power.
