In recent years, the comparative literature research of Jinan University has been sprung up everywhere, attracting the attention of domestic and foreign counterparts. Starting with the convening of a Symposium on Comparative Studies of National Literature in December 1984, the Guangdong Provincial Institute of Comparative Literature was launched in 1985 and the “Literature Comparative Research Newsletter” was launched.
