Schlumberger has developed SonicPacer, a new LWD acoustic logging tool for shale reservoir evaluation that provides lateral stress profiles of shale reservoirs and helps identify the reservoir’s lateral crushing properties and helps Operators to optimize completion design, reduce production costs, improve oil recovery.
