2004年1月27日下午,备受关注的香港和记黄埔正式通过旗下的和记电讯推出3G业务———“3香港”服务。3G业务在港上马,可以算是内地推出3G前的一次预热。3G的推出不是一蹴而就的,必须立足于技术的融合、标准的统一和系统、设备的互联互通。而这些条件在中国内地还未完全成熟!可以想象,此时香港的3G用户正在为获得多媒体通信服务而欣喜!然而,内地用户能做的只是期盼,期盼3G业务早一天到来!
On the afternoon of January 27, 2004, Hutchison Whampoa, a well-concerned company in Hong Kong, formally launched the “3 Hong Kong” service via Hutchison Telecom’s Hutchison Whampoa. Starting 3G business in Hong Kong, can be regarded as a warm-up before the introduction of 3G in the Mainland. The introduction of 3G is not a one-way, and must be based on the integration of technology, standards and systems, equipment, interoperability. However, these conditions are not yet fully mature in Mainland China. As you can imagine, 3G users in Hong Kong are enjoying their multimedia communication services at this time! However, users in the Mainland can only look forward to expecting 3G services one day earlier!
