Russia Inter Geo Rap Geological and Geophysical Consulting has recently developed a new geophysical technology that will replace traditional geophysical and drilling technologies used in diamond drilling. The so-called Resonance Acoustic Profile (RAP) technique developed is the result of today’s progress in acoustics and the newest method of acoustic signal interpretation. Inter Geo Rap claims that unlike traditional seismic methods, the RAP technique detects acoustic vibrations in any geologic body due to external vibrations and interprets it using principles of acoustic resonance and frequency absorption. Inter Geo Rap claims that their technology has many advantages over other geophysical technologies. The instrument is hand-held and easy to operate. In the field, two people measure 6km per day. Finely resolved at depths from a few meters to 300 m, quicker in areas with special geologic conditions
