菲尔·莫黎访谈Q:你在艺术上有一些什么样的背景?是什么引导你从事动画创作?P.M.:我是在瑞文斯博艺术学院学习的绘画。在那期间,我拍摄了一部动画短片,并且借它之力进入了皇家艺术学院的电影和电视系。在电影学校期间我专注于实景拍摄片的制作,到离开的时候,已经写作和导演了一些实景影片。1989年后,我又重新回到动画电影领域,从那时起我大概做了30几部动画短片。Q:尽管你首先被认为是一位动画作者,但之前你也曾作为自由编剧和导演,从事过实景影片的工作对吗?P.M.:是这样的。在上世纪70年代后期和整个的80年代,我做了一些实景电影。
Phil Moritz Interview Q: What kind of background do you have in the art? What leads you to animation? P.M .: I am a painting studying at the Rensselabo School of Art. During that time, I filmed an animated short film and used it to enter the film and television department of the Royal College of Art. During the film school, I focused on the production of live-action film, and when I left, I had written and directed some live-action films. After 1989, I returned to the field of animated films, and I have probably done 30 animated short films since then. Q: Although you were first considered an animated author, have you ever worked as a freelance writer and director before working on a live-action video? P.M .: That’s it. In the late 1970s and throughout the 1980s, I made some live movies.
