水工建筑物的稳定主要取决于产生破裂的范围及其发展的趋向。首先是研究在复杂应力状态下破裂的形成,包括对破裂准则的了解和结构物的应力分析,其次是确定结构物在形成破裂之后是否会进一步发展,以便考虑采取相应的工程措施,来保证建筑物的安全运行。 为研究结构物破裂的问题,须考虑:(1)判别破裂的准则;(2)结构物的应力分析;(3)应力与开裂之间的关系;(4)如何确定结构是否产生破裂,破裂的范围多大?
