Pituitary tumor is a tumor that occurs in the pituitary gland, commonly known as pituitary adenoma, is one of the common neuroendocrine tumors, accounting for about 10 to 15% of central nervous system tumors. The vast majority of pituitary adenomas are benign tumors. With the widespread use of MRI scanning in clinical practice, the sensitivity and specificity of the diagnosis of pituitary tumors increased significantly [1]. In our department, we retrospectively analyzed 42 cases of pituitary adenomas confirmed by surgery and pathology and MRI plain scan + enhancement to summarize the significance of MRI enhanced scan in the diagnosis of pituitary tumors.
