Many studies have determined that electrothermal production of phosphorous slag can be used as a cementing component for dense and porous structural autoclaved silicate materials. It contains a composition that forms a low-alkali hydrated calcium silicate and hydrated aluminate compound, giving the autoclaved silicate material the necessary strength. The Kazan Institute of Chemical Technology in the Soviet Union and Quanzhou Institute of Science and Technology have comprehensively studied porous concrete with granular phosphorus slag as the main raw material.
