先农坛始建于明永乐十八年(1420年),时称山川坛,是明清帝王举行耕耤典礼、祭享先农等神灵的坛庙,面积约3平方公里,四周护坛土地约600亩。清朝乾隆年间重修了部分建筑物。在文献记载中,先农坛虽经历次修缮,但未经兵火灾毁,其主体建筑仍然保留明代特征。先农坛太岁殿外部彩画为清代特色,门窗、瓦饰等细节处也可见到清代做法。1988年太岁殿修缮过程中,通过对建筑风格和梁架的研究分析基本可以断定,太岁殿主体结
