座落在北京西郊风景区香山脚下的中国科学院植物所北京植物园,它以奇花异草,百花盛开,竞相争艳的园林外貌,引人入胜,吸引着广大参观者的兴趣。又以丰富的科学实践,普及植物科学知识和为农林建设服务做出了贡献。北京植物园从1955年起开始筹建,经过多年努力,到1966年已初具规模,建成了几个展览区,搜集植物种类近4000种。“文革”中曾被迫撤消,1972年又恢复重建,现有土地面积55公顷,栽培植物3000种以上。
Located at the botanical garden of Chinese Academy of Sciences at the foot of Xiangshan in the western suburbs of Beijing, the Botanical Gardens of the Chinese Academy of Sciences attract people with great interest because of its attractive and colorful flowers and competing landscapes. With rich scientific practice, popularizing plant science knowledge and making contributions to the construction of agriculture and forestry. Beijing Botanical Garden has been under construction since 1955. After years of efforts, it has begun to take shape in 1966 and has built several exhibition areas to collect nearly 4,000 species of plants. During the Cultural Revolution, it was forced to withdraw and was rebuilt in 1972. The existing land area is 55 hectares and more than 3,000 cultivated plants.
