在铁路交通网络中以火车站点为网络节点,若有同一车次同向通过两站点则认为两节点间有边连接,并定义单位时间内同向通过两站点的车辆数目为边的权重.根据中国铁路交通网络实际数据分析了铁路网络的拓扑结构,分析结果表明中国铁路交通网络具有无标度特征的小世界网络特点,即较短的平均路径长度和大的簇系数,其度的分布满足幂律分布P(k)~k-1.10;度与度的相关系数r=0.244,是正相关的;具有较大度值的站点总是优先连接邻接点中度大的站点,反映了网络的连接偏好特性.利用随机行走模型并结合中国铁路网络的具体特征,研究中国铁路交通的客流问题.计算机模拟显示,在铁路交通网络中站点的流量与其对应的点权成正比,而与站点的度成非线性关系.
