我国著名外科学家、上海第二医科大学附属瑞金医院终身教授、本刊编委会顾问周锡庚教授因病医治无效,于1999年7月6日1时18分不幸逝世,享年八十岁。他的不幸逝世是我国医学界的一大损失。 周锡庚教授1920年4月21日生于上海。1945年以优异的成绩毕业于上海圣约翰大学医学院,随后赴英、美等国留学深造;1949年9月获英国爱丁堡皇家外科医师学院L.R.C.S(Ed)证书,其后又分别在英国伦敦圣马可医院肛肠外科进修学习,专攻肛肠外科的基础研究与临床医疗技术,并在美国纽约哥伦比亚大学西奈山医院担任外科住院医师。新
Professor Zhou Xiguan, a renowned professor of surgery at Ruijin Hospital affiliated to Shanghai Second Medical University, a professor of lifelong education at the Second Medical University in China, died at 18:18 on July 6, 1999, at the age of eighty.
