As an emerging industrialized city, Shenzhen’s evolution and transformation of its industrial structure undoubtedly constitute the basic content of its economic development. The economic, political and cultural conditions required by the evolution of industrial structure undoubtedly constitute the basic tasks in its economic transition. Comparing the industrial structure between Shenzhen and Hong Kong shows that the special constraints and major contradictions Shenzhen faces in this process
