钦州石化产业园位于北部湾北端中心位置,高温多雨、干湿分明,夏长冬短,属南亚热带季风海洋性气候。园区规划面积36平方公里,是钦州港国家级经济技术开发区三大产业园区之一,也是钦州乃至广西最重要的核心支柱产业园区之一。到2012年,将形成1000万吨/年炼油能力、启动大型芳烃项目建设,建成30万吨级油气码头及航道,园区建成面积12.8平方公里,年产值能力达1000亿元;2016年,力争形成2000万吨/年炼油能力和2000万方原油储备能力,启动建设乙烯项目,园区建成面积21平方公里,年产值1700亿元;2020年,建成百万吨乙烯和百万吨芳烃,建成面积30至35平方公里,年产值2700亿元。
