A recent survey of uterine cervix cancer among residents of Sheffield indicated that the results were as follows: In the constituency with the highest proportion of unskilled workers and semi-skilled workers, the mortality rate of the patients was significantly higher. Mortality rate is defined as the ratio of the number of deaths to the number of the patients in a given period of time. It has been reported that black women in Soweto, South Africa, have poor social and economic conditions. They have a shorter survival time after cervical cancer, and patients in southern Australia have a significantly lower mortality rate. British Cervical Cancer Registered in 1971-1973
