On February 25, as a painting artist, Wu Chin-liang had even more extraordinary significance on this day. Chairman Lien Chan once again met privately with Wu Chin-liang, the creator of the painting “Good Hope,” during his busy leisure time. Talking about this piece of work goes back to April 29, 2005, when Lien Chan, chairman of the Kuomintang, started his journey to the mainland. At the Great Hall of the People in Beijing, Hu Jintao, general secretary of the Communist Party of China, and Lien Chan, chairman of the Kuomintang, cross the Taiwan Strait and hold together through 60 years of historic wind and rain.
