显然,召集桥梁的意义已经超越了过去的基本概念:架在河上连接两岸可供人们通行的建筑物。桥梁与经济社会密切相关,是人民生活的必需,更是经济发展的支撑。桥梁对区域发展的贡献十分巨大,这是毋庸置疑的:在江苏省社会科学院世界经济研究所所长田伯平看来,桥梁对区域经济社会发展的贡献,可以分为直接贡献与间接贡献两方面——直接贡献指大桥的兴建产生的投资需求、对关联产业的拉动以及技术的创新;间接贡献则包括人口要素的集聚、产业集聚与转移、城镇化发展等。

The contribution of the bridge to the development of the region is enormous. This is beyond doubt: According to Tian Bo-ping, director of the World Economic Institute of Jiangsu Academy of Social Sciences, the contribution of the bridge to regional economic and social development can be divided into direct contribution and indirect contribution - - The direct contribution refers to the investment demand arising from the construction of the bridge, the driving of related industries and the innovation of technology. The indirect contribution includes the aggregation of population factors, industrial agglomeration and transfer, and urbanization.
